After helping scale Divvy from 30 employees to 200+ — building out platform engineering, IT support, and security teams along the way — we watched the company get acquired by Bill.com for $2.5 billion in 2021.
We founded Ignisware to bring that same enterprise-grade expertise to startups and growing companies who need it most but can't afford a full platform team.
Our Team
Deric Abel, Founder
Deric brings over a decade of experience in DevOps and cloud engineering, with a Computer Science degree from Weber State University.
As an early employee at Divvy, he built and led the platform, IT support, and IT security teams — establishing the infrastructure foundation that supported the company through hypergrowth and a $2.5B acquisition.
Justin Sharp, Staff Engineer
Justin brings over ten years of experience in cloud infrastructure, networking, and software engineering. He worked alongside Deric at Divvy during the company's critical scaling phase from 30 to nearly 200 employees.
Matthew Hughes, Junior DevOps Engineer
Matthew joined Ignisware full-time in January 2026 after completing an internship with us the previous summer. A December 2025 Computer Science graduate, he's passionate about solving problems and continuously improving — exactly the mindset that fits our team.
